Many people will have found that money has been very tight this year and let us face it, the government has been very quick to put in the final boot. As a consequence, what is generally the first luxury that goes out of the window - yes, the annual holiday.
If you are finding yourself in this unenviable position, why not consider a break next winter instead? This, in turn, will give you plenty more time to set some money aside and some winter holidays can workout a damn sight cheaper than during the summer hols.
At this time of year, you may wish to consider skiing holidays in France or perhaps something that will still offer you plenty of sun and winter warmth? The Canary Islands and The Red Sea Riviera in Egypt are some ideal options for you here.
If you can travel completely away from any holidays (e.g. Christmas and New Year), you may be astonished at the prices that are available. What is more, there are often all inclusive rates at hugely discounted prices and this can work out as a holiday that is excellent value for money. Moreover, at least this way you will know how much spending money you need.
Other winter sun breaks tend to travel farther afield. The Caribbean is popular all year round, but to be honest, prices are not so discounted. The same goes for Goa and Kerala which are very popular but offer very poor value for money for what you get.
