Safari Holidays for a Real Life Experience

The mention of safari holidays immediately conjures up vivid images of the 'Big 5' animals (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos) in their natural habitat. You expect an experience so awe-inspiring as to be humbling, as you trespass into their territory to catch glimpses of these amazing beasts in their own surroundings. A safari holiday in Kenya is a magical experience offering you all that and much, much more.

Apart from those animals, you could well see foraging herds of wildebeests, zebras or antelopes; stately giraffes, wallowing hippos, excited baboons and many more species, not to mention all manner of exotic birds. Going on safari is a once in a lifetime experience and certainly one you will never forget.

Try to imagine the thrill of hearing a lion's roar nearby as you lie in your tent at night. Every sound you hear around you will take on new significance or heightened meaning as you realise how vulnerable you are; being so dependent upon the hospitality of such powerful hosts!

You will move daily between savannah, forests and wetland areas in search of ever more exciting sights. When you have become intoxicated on the wildlife, you can visit a traditional tribal village, such as those belonging to the Masai or the Samburu peoples and learn about their ancient cultures and customs, which remain chiefly unchanged.

Whether you also choose ballooning, sailing or diving to explore Kenya, one thing is certain, a safari holiday will change your life, and make every other holiday feel tame in comparison.
